Blog for the NAWDEX 2016 Campaign (HALO & Falcon)

This is the official blog for the NAWDEX campaign, a webpage that can be edited by all NAWDEX team members that are registered. The aim is to inform all NAWDEX participants and interested colleagues about the campaign and to share the planning material. If you need information about the international NAWDEX Project please refer to http://nawdex.org/ and for the HALO/Falcon Project please refer to http://www.pa.op.dlr.de/nawdex/

  • Monday, Sept 12:
    • 10:00 Installation of specMACS in the boiler room (Tobi, DLR-FX)
    • 10:30 Web conference - Planning Meeting
    • 13:00 Installation of HAMP radiometer (Mario, DLR-FX)
  • Tuesday, Sept 13:
    • 08:00 Installation of HAMP radar (Lutz, Heike, DLR-FX)
    • 10:30 Web conference - Planning Meeting

First days in Iceland:

  • Mon, 12 Sep: beginning of the planning meetings (daily meetings at 8:30 UTC until Thu, 15 Sep, then 11 UTC from Iceland)
  • Thu, 15 Sep: arrival of HALO and most of the flight planning and instrument teams
  • Fri, 16 Sep: setup of the operation center and offices at the airport, flight planning with an announcement of first plans for Mon 19 Sep
  • Sat, 17 Sep: potential day-off for HALO
  • Sun, 18 Sep: kick-off-meeting (9-10 UTC): information for all participants
  • Mon, 19 Sep: first possible flight day
