Blog for the NAWDEX 2016 Campaign (HALO & Falcon)¶
This is the official blog for the NAWDEX campaign, a webpage that can be edited by all NAWDEX team members that are registered. The aim is to inform all NAWDEX participants and interested colleagues about the campaign and to share the planning material. If you need information about the international NAWDEX Project please refer to http://nawdex.org/ and for the HALO/Falcon Project please refer to http://www.pa.op.dlr.de/nawdex/

Schedule for aircraft (latest Change: 16 Sep, 2016, 12:00 UT))¶
Saturday, Sept 17, 2016 (Ferry flights)¶
Update: Both aircraft will be fueled on Friday, so no fueling needed on Saturday. Time on the apron with APU power is shortened.
- DLR Falcon, Oberpfaffenhofen (Times given below are LT Germany = UTC + 2 h)
06:15 --- Power on the aircraft (Nico)
06:45 --- Luggage of flight team to aircraft (at latest), stowing of luggage (contact David)
07:25 --- Power off
07:30 --- Leave hangar / APU power / only flight team boards aircraft
08:00 --- Take-Off
Refueling stop in Prestwick
ETA Keflavik: 13:10 UTC (= LT in Iceland)

Friday, Sept 16, 2016¶
- Falcon
all day until 15:00 --- power on the aircraft for instrument work (Engelbert, Benni, Christian, Oliver)
- HALO
all day until 15:00 --- power on the aircraft (service on SpecMacs and WALES)
Thursday, Sept 15, 2016¶
- Falcon: test flight at 14 LT --> done
- HALO: test flight at 11 LT --> done
First days in Iceland:¶
- Mon, 12 Sep: beginning of the planning meetings (daily meetings at 8:30 UTC until Thu, 15 Sep, then 11 UTC from Iceland)
- Fri, 16 Sep: setup of the operation center and offices at the airport, flight planning with an announcement of first plans for Mon 19 Sep
- Sat, 17 Sep: HALO and Falcon transfer
- Sun, 18 Sep: day-off
- Mon, 19 Sep: flight planning
